Children aged 12 to 15 years are considered Young Passengers (YP) and can travel alone on most flights, except for those to Dubai, where only children up to 18 years can travel as Unaccompanied Minors. However, parents or guardians have the option to request Unaccompanied Minor services for Young Passengers, in which case the applicable procedure and fee will apply.
Young Passengers receive the same care as Unaccompanied Minors, but they cannot act as guardians or companions to Unaccompanied Minors.
Scenarios:
If a child aged 5 to 12 is accompanied by a Young Passenger (YP) who is 15 years or older, no charges apply.
If a child aged 5 to 12 is accompanied by a YP who is under 15 years old, the Unaccompanied Minor (UNMR) service is charged for the child passenger, while no charges apply for the YP.
