HOW TO BOOK SPICELOCK

SpiceLock can be added while booking your flight ticket through our website www.spicejet.com and our mobile app after selecting the "Hold Fare Now" option on the flight search page. You can choose to lock your fare with or without passenger names.

Once you've selected your fare, it will be held for 48 hours without any fare surge, allowing you time to make a decision about your confirmed travel.

Please note that SpiceLock is available for flights with departure dates that are 7 days or later for domestic flights and 15 days or later for international flights.

If you have already purchased SpiceLock and are now ready to confirm your travel, please fill in the details in the next section.

  1. How can I lock my fare with SpiceLock?
    SpiceLock can be added when selecting the "Hold Fare Now" option on the flight search page while booking your flight ticket through our website www.spicejet.com and our mobile app. You can choose to lock your fare with or without passenger names.
  2. Can I hold my fare without name(s)?
    Absolutely! SpiceLock gives you the option to hold your fare without the obligation of furnishing passenger name(s). Nevertheless, it is imperative to note that when you are ready to confirm your hold booking, passenger names must be provided to ensure a seamless confirmation process.
  3. What is the fee for SpiceLock?
    The fee for SpiceLock is as follows, and it applies per passenger per segment. Please note that the prices mentioned below include GST:
    • For domestic flights: ₹99 (with name) and ₹199 (without name)
    • For international flights: ₹149 (with name) and ₹249 (without name)
  4. Is SpiceLock available for special or sales fares?
    Unfortunately, the SpiceLock option cannot be used for promotional, sales and special fares.
  5. How can I confirm my hold booking?
    To confirm your hold booking, please visit the "Manage Booking" tab on our website or the "My Trips" tab on our mobile app within 48 hours of holding the fare. Your booking will be confirmed upon successful payment completion.
  6. Can I change the name in the hold booking?
    Regrettably, name changes are not permitted in the hold bookings.
  7. Can I add more passengers while confirming my hold-booking?
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to add more passengers while confirming a hold-booking. The number of passengers when the fare was initially held, must remain the same during booking confirmation.
  8. I have a hold booking for three passengers, but I only want to confirm the booking for two passengers. How can I proceed?
    To confirm the booking for the desired number of passengers, simply uncheck the box next to the passenger(s) you do not wish to include. By doing so, the booking will be confirmed only for the passenger(s) that remain checked.
  9. Is it possible to make changes to a held booking?
    Unfortunately, modifications cannot be made to a held booking.
  10. What happens if there is a change in the flight schedule while the fare is being held?
    In the event that the flight schedule changes within the hold period, with a preponed departure of at least 1 hour or a delay of 2 hours or more, you have two options: you can choose to accept the changes and proceed with booking at the locked fare or you may request a refund of the SpiceLock fee by contacting us via email at custrelations@spicejet.com.
  11. If I fail to confirm my booking within 48 hours, what will be the status of my held fare?
    If you fail to confirm your booking within the 48-hour period, your held fare will be released, and the SpiceLock fee will be forfeited.
  12. Is the SpiceLock fee refundable?
    The SpiceLock fee is non-refundable, except in the case of IROP (Irregular Operations) flights.
  13. Is the SpiceLock fee included in the final ticket cost?

    The final ticket cost does not include the SpiceLock fee.

  2. The fee for SpiceLock is as follows, and it applies per passenger per segment. Please note that the prices mentioned below include GST and will be exclusive of the final ticket cost.

  3. The SpiceLock option is available for tickets booked at least 7 days prior for domestic flight and at least 15 days prior for international flight departures.
  4. Passengers who choose SpiceLock shall have 48 hours from the time of locking the fare to confirm the booking by paying the locked fare amount. If the booking is not confirmed within the 48-hour period, the held fare will be released, and the SpiceLock fee will be forfeited.
  5. The booking can be confirmed upon successful payment completion by visiting the “Manage Booking” tab on our website or the “My Trips” tab on our mobile app within 48 hours of holding the fare.
  6. Until the booking held using SpiceLock is confirmed, modifications cannot be made. However, once the booking is confirmed, applicable modification charges will apply if the customer requests any changes to the confirmed booking.
  7. Passengers opting for SpiceLock without name(s) can furnish passenger names at the time of finalizing the booking by paying the complete flight ticket cost. Once the name(s) are furnished, they cannot be changed later.
  8. The price for SpiceLock remains the same for via or connecting flights as it is for direct flights.
  9. Payment for the SpiceLock fee cannot be made using Credit Shell, Gift Cards or Spice Loyalty/Spice Bonus Points.
  10. The SpiceLock fee is non-refundable, except in the case of IROP (Irregular Operations) flights.
  11. The SpiceLock option cannot be used for promotional, sales and special fares.

  14. In the event of any misuse and/or abuse of the respective offer by the customer(s) or travel agent(s) (as applicable), SpiceJet reserves the right to deny the offer and/or cancel the relevant booking(s).
  15. In any event, SpiceJet's maximum liability for any valid claim arising out of this offer is limited to the amount paid by the customer under and in respect of the said offer.
  16. For any mobile wallet-related claims, the customer is required to contact the concerned mobile wallet company. SpiceJet will not entertain any claims related thereto.
  17. For any credit or debit card or net banking-related claims, the customer should contact their respective banks. SpiceJet will not entertain any claims related thereto.
  18. Any person availing the offer is deemed to have accepted all the applicable terms and conditions.
