HAND BAGGAGE:

Passengers are allowed one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg, which includes the weight of an additional laptop bag, ladies' purse, or duty-free shopping bag. Please note that the carriage of an additional duty-free shopping bag is only applicable on international flights.

The hand baggage size must be within the following dimensions:

  • Boeing flights: 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm (L x W x H; total 115 cm)
  • Q400 flights: 50 cm x 35 cm x 23 cm (L x W x H; total 108 cm)

Passengers travelling with infants can carry an extra piece of hand baggage, weighing a maximum of 7 kg and within the stated dimensions.

CHECKED BAGGAGE:

  • Domestic flights: 1 piece of checked-in baggage, up to 15 kg.
  • International flights:
    • Flights to/from Bangkok, Kathmandu and Phuket: 2 pieces, total 20 kg.
    • Flights to/from Dubai, Fujairah and Jeddah: 2 pieces, total 30 kg. (Additional 5 litres of Zam Zam water allowed from Jeddah to India.)
    • For bookings made from 14th July 2025 and travel till 10th September 2025, a total baggage allowance of 40 kg is permitted for flights to India from Fujairah.
    • For bookings made from 15th August 2025 and travel till 15th September 2025, a total baggage allowance of 40 kg is permitted for flights to India from Dubai (except on the Dubai–Kochi and Dubai–Kozhikode sectors).
    • International-to-International connections via India on SpiceJet: 2 pieces, total 30 kg.

CLUBBING BAGGAGE UNDER THE SAME PNR: Passengers under the same PNR can combine their checked baggage, provided each bag does not exceed 32 kg as per airport baggage restrictions.

BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS:

  • Kirpan: Sikh passengers are allowed to carry a kirpan on their person during domestic flights, with the blade not exceeding 15.24 cm (6 inches) and the total length not exceeding 22.86 cm (9 inches).
  • Prohibited Items & Carrying Guidelines:
    • Power Banks: Only permitted in hand baggage.
    • Valuables & Electronics: Must be carried in hand baggage (e.g., medication, cash, jewellery, documents, and electronics).
    • E-cigarettes: Not allowed on any SpiceJet flights.
  • For Travel to Dubai: All checked-in baggage will be inspected for prohibited items as per applicable laws. Items like pagers and walkie-talkies are prohibited on flights to/from Dubai and will be confiscated if found.

Domestic to International Connections on SpiceJet:

For passengers travelling on a domestic SpiceJet flight connecting to an international SpiceJet flight (or vice versa), the free baggage allowance of the international sector will apply for domestic travel within 24 hours of the international flight’s departure or arrival in India.

Domestic Flights with International Connections on Other Airlines:

Passengers travelling on a domestic SpiceJet flight with a connection to another airline for an international destination (or from an international destination) are allowed a free baggage allowance of 15 kg per passenger per flight.

For example, if a passenger buys 5 kg of excess baggage but decides not to carry any, the purchase remains non-cancellable. Similarly, if a passenger purchases 5 kg of excess baggage but only uses 4 kg, the remaining 1 kg is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-reusable.
  9. SpiceJet will not be responsible for, or have any liability regarding, articles removed from passengers' baggage by airport security personnel following applicable regulations. For example, if a passenger has an inbound SpiceJet flight from an international sector and a connecting flight within 24 hours to a different destination, the international baggage allowance applies only once under the same PNR.
