The definitions listed below apply to the terms mentioned across the Domestic and International Terms of Carriage or other pages on the website.

  • Passenger: Any person, except members of the crew, carried or to be carried in an aircraft pursuant to a Ticket.
  • SG: It’s a SpiceJet designator code. Such codes identify particular air carriers and in the case of SpiceJet Limited, SG denotes or means SpiceJet Limited.
  • Adult: For the purpose of buying a Ticket or for Tariff purposes, a person who has reached his/her 12th birthday or completed 12 years of age as of the date of commencement of travel.
  • ADF: The applicable Airport Development Fee collected by SpiceJet per passenger per sector on behalf of the airport operator(s).
  • Aircraft: A machine that can travel through air and has been certified as airworthy by the certified competent aeronautical authority.
  • ATO: The Airport Ticketing Office situated at the airport.
  • Agreed Stopping Places: Those places, except the place of departure and the place of destination, set out in the Ticket or shown in the airlines’ timetables as scheduled stopping places on the Passenger’s route.
  • Authorized Agent: A sales agent who has been appointed by SpiceJet to represent the airline in the sale of air transportation on its services.
  • Baggage: Refers to the passengers' personal property accompanying them in connection with their trip. Unless otherwise specified, it consists of both their checked and hand baggage.
  • Baggage Check: A check of passengers’ baggage to ensure that they contain no item that is dangerous or illegal or prohibited for carriage.
  • Baggage Identification Tag: A document issued solely for the identification of Checked Baggage.
  • BCAS: It stands for the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Government of India.
  • Booking: An act of creating an itinerary, record or reservation, either in paper form or in electronic form, with passenger details such as name, contact information, etc., through SpiceJet’s reservation channels, of the travel particulars of a passenger on a given flight.
  • Carrier: An air carrier other than SpiceJet whose designator code appears on the passengers’ Ticket or on a Conjunction Ticket.
  • Conjunction Ticket: A ticket issued to a passenger concurrently with another ticket(s) which together constitute a single contract of carriage.
  • Checked Baggage: It’s the baggage that is in compliance with airline baggage regulations and delivered to the airline during check-in to be stored in an inaccessible area to the passenger during the flight, for which the airline issues a Baggage Identification Tag.
  • Check-in deadline: The deadline that SpiceJet sets for passengers to finish check-in procedures and obtain their boarding passes.
  • Child: Passenger who is over the age of 2 (two) years and under the age of 12 (twelve) years, as on the date of travel.
  • Chosen Partner: A travel agency or travel portal that makes bookings, issues tickets, and provides other ancillary services for or on behalf of SpiceJet.
  • Conditions of Contract: Those statements contained in or delivered with the passenger’s Ticket or itinerary or receipt, identified as such, and which incorporate, by reference, these terms/conditions of carriage and notices.
  • Convention: Whichever of the following instruments is applicable:
    1. The Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air, signed at Warsaw on October 12, 1929 (hereinafter referred to as the Warsaw Convention);
    2. The Warsaw Convention, as amended at The Hague on September 28, 1955;
    3. The Warsaw Convention as amended by Additional Protocol No.1 of Montreal (1975);
    4. The Warsaw Convention as amended at The Hague and by Additional Protocol No. 4 of Montreal (1975);
    5. The Montreal Convention (1999)
  • Credit Shell: A credit note issued by SpiceJet to a Passenger, on account of any adjustment in the taxable value of services to be offered by SpiceJet and any compensation to be provided to Passengers under applicable law which may include redressal of any Passenger grievance in terms of the provisions of these terms/conditions of carriage.
  • Damage: Includes death, wounding, or bodily injury to a Passenger, loss, partial loss, theft, or other damage to Baggage arising out of or in connection with carriage or other services incidental thereto performed by SpiceJet.
  • Days: Calendar days, including all seven days of the week; provided that, for the purpose of notification, the day upon which notice is dispatched shall not be counted; and provided further that, for purposes of determining the duration of validity of a Ticket, the day upon which the Ticket is issued or the flight commenced shall not be counted.
  • Designator Code: The two or three characters or letters which identify particular air carriers in tickets, schedules, reservation systems, communications, etc. This code is assigned by IATA.
  • DGCA: Stands for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
  • Fare Rules: The terms and conditions attached to the fare.
  • Fare: The amount charged by the Carrier for the carriage of a passenger and his allowable free baggage, which is paid as fee by a passenger for air transport to fly from an origin to destination and includes the conditions, rules and restrictions for travelling on the airfare, as being applicable to the class of service to be furnished to the public, also otherwise known as an airfare.
  • Fit to Fly Certificate: The certificate required to be obtained by certain travelers from a registered medical practitioner as indicated in these terms of carriage.
  • Force Majeure: Unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond SpiceJet’s control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised.
  • Gate No-show: A passenger who has checked in for an outbound flight but fails to report at the boarding gate within the requisite timelines prior to the departure of the outbound flight.
  • GST: Goods and service tax, which is an indirect tax leviable on the supply of goods and services and includes SGST, CGST, UTGST, IGST, or a combination thereof, and applicable cess.
  • GSTIN: A unique goods and services tax identification number issued to the person duly registered with the relevant government authority.
  • Hand Baggage: Any of the Passenger’s baggage other than Checked Baggage that the Passenger is permitted to carry with him or her on the flight in accordance with the terms and conditions and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Infant: A Passenger with age between 7days and below 2 years on the date of travel.
  • INR: Stands for Indian Rupees, which is the lawful currency of India.
  • Itinerary, Receipt, Ticket, or E-Ticket: A document or documents, whether physical or electronic, including the passenger's identity, flight details, conditions of contract, and notices that are provided by SpiceJet or on behalf of SpiceJet to travelers who are flying with the airline.
  • No-show: A passenger who has made a booking but fails to check in for their outbound flight within the requisite timelines prior to departure and fails to cancel their booking.
  • Pets or Live Animals (AVI): Domesticated dogs.
  • PNR: A passenger name record, which is a unique booking reference number which identifies the passenger's booking in SpiceJet’s database for a sector or combination of sectors.
  • PSF or Passenger Service Fee: The applicable passenger service fee collected by SpiceJet per passenger per sector on behalf of the airport operator(s).
  • Regulatory Authority: Any statutory, government, regulatory and/or quasi-judiciary commission, court, body or authority (either at the union, state, or local level) incorporated under a statute or functioning within the purview of applicable laws.
  • Reservation Centre: SpiceJet’s 24*7 centre that helps in booking, modifying, or cancelling the flight ticket, along with other queries that a passenger may have regarding air travel. Contact numbers: +91 (0)124 4983410, +91 (0)124 7101600.
  • Sector: Each consecutive flight segment that has the same flight number.
  • Stopover: A scheduled stop on the passenger’s journey at a point between the place of departure and the place of destination.
  • Tariff: The published fares, charges and/or related conditions of carriage of an airline filed, where required, with the appropriate authorities.
  • Terms of Carriage: Conditions that form a legally binding and enforceable contract of carriage between SpiceJet and a passenger, that are available on the website and are incorporated by reference in the itinerary issued to passengers for bookings made through the website or through travel agents. The terms of carriage shall be subject to change from time to time, based on applicable law or at SpiceJet’s sole discretion.
  • UDF: The User Development Fee, as imposed by the relevant airport authority at certain airports in India and as applicable at the time of issuance of a ticket.
  • Unaccompanied Minor: A passenger between the ages of 5 (five) and 12 (twelve) years on the date of travel who is not accompanied by a passenger aged 18 (eighteen) years or more on the date of travel.
  • Website: Refers to the official website of SpiceJet, that is, spicejet.com, on which passengers can purchase tickets and also access information about the said airline, its offerings, and terms of carriage.

Terms of Carriage

The carriage of a Passenger is subject to SpiceJet regulations relating to the conditions of Non-International Carriage (Passenger and Baggage) framed in accordance with The Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and Notification regarding application of the Carriage which is non-international. These regulations are known as SpiceJet Non-International Carriage (passenger and baggage) Regulations 1992. The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a passenger or any other bodily injury suffered by a passenger or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the Second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications, etc. as notified in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time. All disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of Delhi only.

SpiceJet is a ticketless airline. An itinerary does not constitute a document of carriage. The Booking in the SpiceJet database is the primary record of carriage and in the event of any differences between the itinerary and the Booking in the SpiceJet database, the Booking will prevail.

  1. All Passengers, including children and infants, must present valid identification at check-in. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate travel documents at all times.
  2. All Foreign Nationals/Non-Indian Nationals/NRI need to carry their Passport with valid documents for their travel to Port Blair(Andaman and Nicobar Island). All NRI must have PIO(person of indian origin) or Passport with valid documents. As Andaman and Nicobar Islands being the Restricted Area under Foreign Nationals (Restricted) Order 1963, hence the provision of Restricted Area Permit (RAP) has been relaxed for the visit by Foreigners to 30 islands in A & N Islands. However, the citizens of China, Afghanistan & Pakistan and those who have origin in these countries and citizens of Myanmar intending to visit Mayabunder & Diglipur in North & Middle Andaman District continue to require prior approval of Ministry of Home Affairs to gain entry and avoid any inconvenience.
  3. Web check-in is available for all domestic flights and closes 60 mins prior to departure. For assistance with check-in or re-issuance of boarding pass through Reservations, a facilitation fee of Rs. 200 per passenger will be charged. Bookings made under the fares of armed forces, senior citizens, unaccompanied minors and for passengers with medical conditions/stretchers are exempted from this fee. Check-in counters will open three hours prior to departure and will close 60 mins prior to departure. Passengers are requested to report to the check-in counter at least two hours prior to departure
  4. Cancellation / Changes within "2 hours" prior to the scheduled departure time or failure to check-in for a SpiceJet flight at least 60 minutes prior, to the scheduled departure time will result in the fare being forfeited.
  5. All promo/sale fares are restrictive fares and are non-refundable. Certain promo/sale fares do not permit changes to the flight. Please check restrictions on the fare while booking. Under all promo/sale fares, limited inventory is available on selected flights on first come, first served basis. SpiceJet reserves the right to withdraw and/or amend the promo/sale without any prior notice.
  6. In the event of cancellation/non-utilization/no show of promo/special fares (where the basic fare is non-refundable), the passengers shall be entitled for the refund of statutory taxes and User Development Fee (UDF) / Airport Development Fee (ADF) / Passenger Service Fee (PSF) etc (as applicable).However, on bookings made on flights to/from Ajmer, Belagavi, Durgapur, Gwalior, Jaisalmer, Jalandhar, Jharsuguda, Kandla, Kanpur, Pondicherry, Darbhanga and Porbandar do not qualify for same as taxes are not being collected on the said routes.
  7. Cancellation, changes and refund
    • Spicejet shall provide “Look-in option” for a period of 24 hours after booking ticket. During this period passenger can cancel or amend the ticket without any additional charges, except for the normal prevailing fare for the revised flight for which the ticket is sought to be amended. This facility shall not be available for a flight whose departure is less than 7 days from booking date. The passenger needs to call SpiceJet’s call center to avail this facility.
    • For all domestic sectors any changes pertaining to Date for a booking please refer the grid below for applicable charges if the same fare is not available at the time of change, the difference in fares will be applied in addition to the change fee plus changes to any applicable fees. All fees are subject to change without notice.
    • For booking cancellations and flight changes requested via SpiceJet Reservations or airport ticketing counters, an additional sum of Rs.250 per passenger per flight will be chargeable.
    • For all domestic sectors any request for sector change in the booking will attract the respective cancellation fees as per the class of booking or base fare plus fuel surcharge per passenger per sector per change, whichever is lower. If the same fare is not available at the time of change, the difference in fares will be applied in addition to this change fee plus changes to any applicable fees. All fees are subject to change without notice.
    • If payment is made through the website using debit or credit cards, Net Banking, Wallets, or UPI, any refunds resulting from cancellations will be processed within seven (7) working days and credited back to the source account.
    • In case of cash transactions, refund shall be made via online bank transfer only.
    • If you cancel tickets that were purchased through travel agents, online travel portals, or similar platforms, the refund will be processed within seven (7) working days from the time of ticket cancellation.
    • Add on service like Meals, Spice-Max , Excess Baggage and Preferred Bag Out are non-cancellable in isolation.
    • For bookings cancelled due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions and lockdown in the period of March 25 till May 24, 2021, credit shell* can be used to make another booking for any date from our website, authorized travel agents, and the reservation centre, and/or for the purchase add-on services for the same passengers till September 30, 2024. At the end of the booking process, you can make the payment using the “CREDIT SHELL” option. For bookings made through travel agents or online travel portals, customer are requested to contact the source of booking.
      *Credit Shell is a form of credit note that can be used to make a new booking as well as to book ancillary products with SpiceJet for the same passenger(s) for future travel. The credit shell balance on your itinerary can be checked by following these 3 steps: Visit www.spicejet.com → Go to 'Manage booking' → Enter PNR and Email/Last Name.

  8. Name change is not permitted on your booking. Please ensure that passenger’s booking name matches the proof of identification.
  9. Boarding pass is issued only for the ease of processing and the document itself has no value.
  10. Travel certificate: Issuance of travel certificate through call center or at airports will entail a fee of INR 300/- (including GST) per passenger per PNR.
  11. A non-refundable convenience fee shall be levied on all transactions completed as per the table given below:

  12. Schedule is subject to changes and approvals from regulatory authorities.
  13. Each passenger is permitted to carry one piece of hand baggage with maximum weight of 7 kg., free of cost. Hand baggage size must be within the dimensions of: 55 cm + 35 cm + 25 cm (L+W+H; total 115 cm) on Boeing flights and 50 cm + 35 cm + 23 cm (L+W+H; total 108 cm or 42.5 inches) on Q400 flights.

    Laptop bag/ ladies purse/ duty free shopping bags can be carried additionally, as long as the total weight of cabin baggage does not exceed 7 kg.

    Hand baggage over and above the permissible carriage limit of 7 kg will be charged at a cost of Rs.600 per kg.

    Passengers with infants are permitted to carry an additional piece of hand baggage with maximum weight of 7 kg., and not exceeding the aforementioned size dimensions.

    14.1

    The issue relating to carriage of Kirpan by Sikh passengers, while traveling by air, has been reviewed in the light of requirements of maintenance of public order. It is decided that Kirpan may be carried under the following conditions :-

    • Kirpan may be carried only by a Sikh passenger, on his person, provided the length of its blade does not exceed 15.24 cms.(6 inches); and the total length of a Kirpan does not exceed 22.86 cms. ( 9 inches ) ;

    • It is allowed while traveling by air on Indian aircrafts within India; and

    • Kirpan is allowed only on domestic routes of fully domestic flights.

  14. Hand Baggage will be accepted in cabin subject to the availability of space in the overhead bin. If the Hand baggage is oversized/ overweight, SpiceJet will accept it as Checked-in Baggage. Customer’s Hand Baggage will be specifically tagged and upon arrival the same will be available to be collected from the arrival hall conveyor belt. If the airline staff detects the passenger carrying excess hand baggage before and/ or at the time of boarding the aircraft, then he/she shall be charged INR 600/ kg for each additional kg, above 7kg free hand baggage allowance.

    Passengers are kindly advised to place Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels (LAGs) containers within a transparent re-sealable plastic bag, with a maximum capacity not exceeding one litre. The recommended dimensions for the one-litre bag are approximately 20.5 cm x 20.5 cm or 25 cm x 15 cm, or their equivalent. Compliance with the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, and any subsequent amendments is expected regarding other specifications for such plastic bags. The containers are required to comfortably fit within the bag, which should be fully sealed. The provision of these plastic bags at security screening checkpoints for passenger use will be facilitated by the airport operator of the relevant airport.
  15. Friends and Family Special
    • These fares are available for booking made for both, domestic and international sectors. (Only for Direct and Via flights).
    • These fares are available for bookings made on www.spicejet.com or through SpiceJet’s Reservation Center.
    • Under this fare, a minimum of two (2) and maximum of nine (09) passengers can be booked.
    • These fares are NOT available for bookings made via SpiceJet’s official mobile application.
    • These fares are not applicable for booking made for infant(s).
    • Full baggage allowance is applicable to the passengers booking under these fares.
    • Changes/ Cancellation in respect of the booking made under these fares can only be done via SpiceJet’s Reservation center.
    • Cancellation in respect of the booking made under this fare shall only be permissible if minimum of two (#2) passengers are retained in the booking.

  16. Checked–in baggage: Effective October 24, 2020, SpiceJet Permits one piece of free checked-in baggage of up to 15 Kgs with Overall dimensions of 158 cm(L+W+H) per passenger, for all domestic flights.

    Please note that if passenger is carrying less than the permitted weight, then the balance weight cannot be adjusted as hand baggage or vice versa.

  17. At the Airport: Passenger(s) carrying more than the baggage allowance will be charged at the rate of INR 550/ kg for domestic travel only. Additional pieces of baggage will be subject to a fee of INR 1,000 per piece in addition to the excess baggage charges.

    Passengers travelling under the same PNR are allowed to club their check-in baggage only. If they do so, they must ensure that the weight of each bag must not exceed 32 kg as per the airport baggage restriction.

    Prepaid excess baggage can be booked up to 3 hours prior to the departure time from our website or call center, at the following rates.

    Discounts for pre-booked excess baggage may vary on different channels.

    Additional piece(s) of baggage will not include excess baggage weight allowance.

    Each slab for Prepaid Excess Baggage can be booked only once i.e. Per PNR / Per Passenger / Per Sector.

    Prepaid excess baggage once purchased, cannot be cancelled in stand-alone or used partially (e.g. if a passenger has bought 5 kg and does not want to carry any excess baggage then the same is non-cancellable OR if a passenger has bought 5 kg and excess baggage is 4 kg then the remaining 1 kg is non-transferable/ non-refundable/ non-reusable).

  18. ITEMS UNACCEPTABLE AS BAGGAGE

    19.1

    Following articles/items must not be included in the Passenger’s Baggage:

    19.1.1

    Items which are likely to endanger the aircraft or persons or property on board the aircraft, such as those specified in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations, and in SpiceJet’s regulations. Further information is available from SpiceJet on request although illustrative examples include:

    • Compressed gases (deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous), such as butane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, aqualung cylinders and compressed gas cylinders such as camping gas.

    • Corrosives such as acids, alkalis, mercury and wet cell batteries and apparatus containing mercury.

    • Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares, blank cartridges, pistols or any other weapons and pistol caps.

    • Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter refills, lighter fuel, matches, paints, thinners, fire-lighters, lighters that need inverting before ignition, substances liable to spontaneous combustion, substances which emit flammable gases on contact with water.

    • Radioactive materials

    • Briefcases and attaché cases with installed alarm or pyrotechnic devices.

    • Oxidizing materials such as bleaching powder and peroxides.

    • Poisons and infectious substances such as insecticides, weed-killers and live virus materials.

    • Other dangerous articles such as magnetized materials, offensive or irritating materials.

    19.1.2

    Items the carriage of which is prohibited by the applicable laws, regulations or orders of any state to be flown from or to;

    19.1.3

    Items which are reasonably considered by SpiceJet to be unsuitable for carriage because they are dangerous or unsafe, or because of their weight, size, shape or character, or because they are fragile or perishable having regard to, among other things, the type of aircraft being used. Information about unacceptable items is available upon request.

    19.2

    Firearms and ammunition other than for hunting and sporting purposes are prohibited from carriage as Baggage. Firearms and ammunition for hunting and sporting purposes may be accepted as Checked Baggage. Firearms must be unloaded, with the safety catch on, and suitably packed. Carriage of ammunition is subject to ICAO and IATA regulations as specified in Article

    19.3

    Dry cell batteries, scissors, sharp instruments, tools, weapons such as antique firearms, toy weapons, swords, knives and similar items may be accepted as Checked Baggage, at SpiceJet’s sole discretion, but will not be permitted in the cabin of the aircraft.

    19.4

    The Passenger must not include in Checked Baggage money, currency, jewellery, precious metals, computers, personal electronic devices, negotiable papers or instruments, securities or other valuables, business documents, passports and other identification documents or samples. To the extent that it is necessary to carry such items (at the Passenger’s risk), they should be carried in the Passenger’s Hand Baggage in the cabin.

    19.5

    Medicines and toiletries may be carried in limited quantities, which are necessary or appropriate during the Passenger’s journey (to the extent that carriage is permitted by the appropriate regulations). Otherwise, many of these items can be carried as air cargo provided they are packed in accordance with cargo regulations.

    19.6

    If, despite being prohibited, any items referred to in Articles 19.1, 19.2 and 19.4 are included in the Passenger’s Baggage, SpiceJet shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to such items.

    19.7

    Power banks/portable mobile chargers are allowed ONLY in Hand-Baggage and NOT in Checked-in Baggage. If any of these items are detected in X-ray, your checked-in baggage will NOT BE LOADED on the flight due to security reasons. Older generation Apple MacBook Pro laptops with 15 inches screen, purchased between Sept’15 and Feb’17 is prohibited to be carried in cabin as well as checked-in baggage.

    Carriage of satellite phones (Thuraya and Iridium) is prohibited on all flights.

    SpiceJet will not be responsible for, or have any liability in respect of, articles removed from the Passenger’s Baggage by airport security personnel acting in accordance with any applicable regulations.



  19. Carriage of Live Animals (AVI) – Live animals are permitted to be carried in the cargo hold for which the requirements are mentioned below.

    • The period of validity of the veterinary health certificates should not be more than 48 hours before the time of schedule departure.
    • AVI will be accepted only on direct flight.
    • SpiceJet does not accept live rats, guinea pigs and any other animal emanating a strong odor on its flights. SpiceJet also does not accept reptiles and other poisonous animals on any of its flights.
    • SpiceJet will not accept any live animal intended to be used for laboratory experimentation for transport on its network.
    • The owner of the animal will be responsible for compliance with all the governmental customs and health requirements, including quarantine arrangements at destinations, entry permits and other documents required by countries of entry.
    • Shipper's Declaration Form and a declaration indemnifying the airline will be obtained from the shipper at the Cargo warehouse.
    • Carriage of Animals into any country by air as a cargo shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of IATA Live Animals Regulations (LARS) and SpiceJet Policy.
    • The pet dog must be properly muzzled and leashed.
    • AVI will be carried in the cargo compartment of the aircraft.
    • For CITES species, CITES Export / Re-Export Permit where required, veterinary examination, quarantine, or prohibition restrictions which may also include the food provided for the animal(s); also, the shipper shall obtain current requirements from local consulate or national authority concerned, if applicable.
    • If AVI is required to be loaded on or in ULDs (Unit load device), then ULDs are only loaded onto aircraft that are compatible with the load and associated restrictions.

    Health

    • Animals shall not show any signs of illnesses. They shall be well fed (food and water) prior to transportation.
    • The carriage of animals in an advanced state of pregnancy is prohibited.

    Documentation

    Health documents stating the animal's fitness for carriage by air, breed, age of AVI and Fit to Fly Certification and Vaccination / Immunization record with Rabies vaccination date are required.

    Minimum Age

    Pets must be at least 4 months old for International flights or 3 months or 12 weeks old for Domestic flights. Females with young suckling, as well as puppies / kittens, will not be accepted.

    • A maximum of two adult animals of comparable size of up to 14kg each that are used to cohabitation may be shipped in the same container. Animals over and above the aforementioned weight limit must travel individually.
    • Animals up to six months old from the same litter, up to a maximum quantity of three, may be shipped in the same container.
    • Maximum weight of AVI should not be more than 35kg excluding the cage weight.

    Restricted Breeds
    SpiceJet will not accept the following breeds of dogs, including snubbed-nose dogs and short-muzzled dog breeds, as these animals are known to be susceptible to increased risk of heat stroke (when exposed to stress or changes in temperature), breathing difficulties or increased travel stress.
    SpiceJet will also not accept poisonous animals and those who are known to produce offensive odors.

    Cage for Live Animal:

    AVI will be accepted only in the IATA Standard Fiber Cage. Maximum dimension of cage should not be more than 48 Inch (L) X 45 Inch (W) X 30 Inch (H).

     

    Determination of kennel size and quality: The animal shall have enough space to turn around normally while standing, to stand and sit, and to lie in a natural manner.

    Important: The size of the kennel shall be such that it will allow the dog to stand in a natural position, turn around easily and lie down comfortably.

    For International

    Animals when properly crated and accompanied by valid health and vaccination certificates, entry permits, and other documents required by countries of entry and/or transit will provisionally be accepted for carriage, with the advance agreement of carrier, subject to carrier's regulations and shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of IATA Live Animals Regulations (LARS) by Air Cargo mode only.

    All Shipper's intending to Import/Export AVI into/from India from/for all countries as cargo are required  to comply with applicable regulations and to have No Objection Certificate / Pre-import Clearance from Animal Quarantine & Certification Service (AQCS) in India, before the commencement of the journey to India.     To India

    In accordance with directives from the Customs Authority, no live animals to be imported unless the following conditions are met:

    • Prior approval from the Animal Quarantine;
    • Shipper shall obtain current requirements from local Consulate or the concerned national authority.
    • No Objection certificate from the AQCS (Animal Quarantine & Certification Services) to be obtained at least 7 days before arrival into India.
    • Import Permit would be required.
    • Shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the IATA Live Animals Regulations (LARS) and SpiceJet Policy.

    From India

    • Export Permit would be required.

  20. Passengers are advised to compulsorily retain the boarding pass until exiting the terminal for security reasons. Passengers on via and connecting flights should keep their boarding pass handy for physical check at transit points.
  21. Coins are not accepted on all our flights. In the event of any failure or decline or rejection of any such payment by the concerned bank, it is the sole responsibility of the passenger to make the declined payment and in the event of failure of the passenger to do so SpiceJet reserves its rights to initiate appropriate action for recovery of such amount, including additional expenses borne by SpiceJet. Any person making any on-board purchases shall be deemed to have accepted the applicable terms and conditions, and any dispute arising with respect to the same shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at New Delhi, India.
  22. In case of non-availability of pre-booked food item, SpiceJet will offer an alternate food option or a full refund of the amount paid by the passenger towards the pre-booked food item, in the form of a voucher, to be used against similar future purchases, at its discretion and without any further liability.

  23. In the event Spicejet:
    • a.cancels the flight; or
    • b.prepones the flight by sixty (60) minutes or more; or
    • c.postpones the flight by one hundred and twenty (120) minutes or more,

    the affected passengers shall be entitled either for:

    • full refund of the amount paid by them; or
    • to be accommodated on alternate flight(s) for the same sector for next or preceding seven (07) days from the original date of journey, subject to availability and SpiceJet’s discretion. Passenger must make these changes within 24 hours from departure time of their original flight.

Connecting Flight Baggage Policy

  1. Passenger travelling on SpiceJet domestic sector to SpiceJet international sector or vice versa the Free Baggage Allowance of International sector will be applicable within 24hrs of its flight departure to any domestic sector after landing in India.
  2. Passenger travelling on SpiceJet domestic flights and having connection on another airline to/from an international destination, are permitted to carry one checked-in bag of up to 15 kg per flight, as Free Checked-in Baggage Allowance. SpiceJet does not offer the facility of through check-in for onward connections with SpiceJet or other carriers. SpiceJet operates only point to point service and our passengers will have to check-in separately for other flights. We don’t take responsibility for any inconvenience associated with missed connections to or from other carriers. Passenger must ensure that there is adequate time gap between flights involving change of airplanes or carriers at the point of stop over.
  3. Any spicy promotional / auction fare purchased in conjunction with return fare cannot be cancelled or changed.
  4. Certain fares could carry a restriction related to change / cancellation policy of that particular fare type. In case you do not wish to opt for restricted fare, you can book two separate PNRs for each sector without the benefits/restrictions of the fare.
  5. Where bad weather or instances beyond SpiceJet control has resulted in your flight being cancelled or delayed, SpiceJet will try to assist you to get to your destination, but will not be liable in any way for the delay or cancellation.
  6. SpiceJet assumes no liability for wear and tear to luggage (scratches, torn zippers, straps, wheels, handles, scuffs, dents, soiling or manufacturer defects).
  7. SpiceJet does not connect to other airlines; therefore, SpiceJet is not responsible for any losses incurred by our Passengers while trying to connect to or from other airlines.
  8. The consumption of alcohol is prohibited on all SpiceJet domestic flights.
  9. SpiceJet reserves the right to refuse passage to any passenger that is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or where SpiceJet believes it is necessary for the safety and comfort of you or other Passengers or for the protection of property.
  10. Smoking is not permitted on any SpiceJet aircraft.
  11. SpiceJet highly recommends that you remove all valuables (cameras, jewellery, money, electronics, perishables, etc.) and medication from your check-in luggage and place them in your carry-on. SpiceJet will not accept responsibility for these items.
    In case, the passenger decides to carry any valuables in their checked-in baggage against the above advice; they will do this at their own risk and shall not hold SpiceJet responsible for any pilferage / damage / etc. to such valuables. They shall lay no claim against SpiceJet, its employees, agents, successors etc in this regard.
  12. Passengers will be subjected to a security screening prior to boarding the aircraft. This is mandatory as per Indian Regulations.
  13. The company reserves to itself the right, without assigning any reason, to cancel or delay the commencement or continuance of the flight or to alter the stopping place or to deviate from the route of the journey or to change the type of aircraft in use without thereby incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any ground whatsoever. The Company also reserves to itself the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit to travel or who in the opinion of the company may constitute risks to the aircraft or to the persons on board.
  14. If at any stage it is found that the aircraft with the booked load or passengers will be over loaded, the Company will have the right to decide which passengers or articles shall be off-loaded and such decision shall be binding.
  15. The Company is not liable for any loss or damage occasioned by delay in the carriage by air of passengers or baggage. Receipt without complaint of registered baggage on the termination of the journey shall be prima facie evidence that the baggage has been delivered correctly and in good condition.
  16. The Carrier's liability for loss or damage to baggage is limited to Rs 200 per kg with a maximum of Rs 20,000 only. The Carrier assumes no liability for fragile or perishable articles.
  17. The reservation itinerary issued by the Company shall be subject to rules of cancellation made by the Company for the time being in force, which may be seen at our website www.spicejet.com or at our offices on request.
  18. In the event of death of a passenger, or any bodily injury or wound suffered by a passenger which results in a permanent disablement incapacitating him from engaging in or being occupied with his usual duties or business occupation, the liability of the Carrier for each passenger shall be Rs 750,000 only if the passenger is 12 years or more of age and Rs 375,000 if the passenger is below 12 years of age on the date of the accident.
  19. Children under the age of 12 require adult accompaniment at all times. SpiceJet will accept children aged between 5-12 years traveling alone as unaccompanied children (as per UNMR inventory). SpiceJet will charge an additional fee of 4999 INR for each one-way journey for unaccompanied minors. The Unaccompanied Minor Form must be filled-in by the Child's parents or legal guardian(s) on behalf of the Child.

  20. SpiceJet shall not be liable for any damage(s) resulting from acts of error or omission in timetables or other published schedules, representations made by its employees, agents or representatives with regard to the date and/or time of departure/ arrival or operation of any flight except in cases where it is proved that the intention is to cause such damage.
  21. Infants under the age of 2 years, and not occupying a seat, are subject to a fee of INR 1750. Children over 7 days to under 2 years of age at the day of travel are classified as Infants. Proof of age is required, so please carry the Infant's Passport/valid ID (birth certificate) for inspection at the airport on the date of travel. Infants under seven (7) days will only be accepted upon medical authorization from a physician. An Infant must not travel unaccompanied and booking cannot be taken as a stand-alone booking only for an Infant.
  22. SpiceJet carries wheelchair passengers without any charges. Wheelchair inventory is limited on each flight, therefore, passengers are advised to raise a request for wheelchair at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of their flight.
  23. Sports/ Skiing equipment, Golf bags, large musical instruments, Bicycle, Surf Boards, LCD and LED TVs of sizes more than 39 inches and other such large and/ or out of gauge items will be termed as Special Baggage. Special Baggage, when registered as Checked-in Baggage shall be subject to a Handling Fee, as detailed in the below grid:

Policy

  1. For any baggage weights exceeding the applicable free checked baggage allowance, the normal excess baggage charges will be charged in addition to the handling fee as detailed in the above grid. Carriage of all Special Baggage’s shall also be governed by applicable terms and conditions contained in SpiceJet Conditions of Carriage with regard to carriage of fragile items, etc.
  2. Passenger travelling on SpiceJet from a Foreign country to an Indian city and travelling onwards by SpiceJet to a domestic sector booked under the same PNR will not be charged any additional excess baggage or handling charges for any Special Baggage at the transit station.
  3. Connecting passengers under same PNR from a foreign Origin country to another foreign country destination via India on SpiceJet will not be charged any additional excess baggage or handling charges for any above mentioned articles at the transit station.
  4. LED/LCD TVs for size 39 inches and below would be treated as normal Check In baggage.
  5. Maximum two (02) LCD / LED TVs can be carried by one passenger as checked in baggage. (Both the LCD/LED TVs to be charged).
  6. Maximum size of LED / LCD TV that shall be accepted for carriage is 55 inches.
  7. Carriage of Liquor:

    Maximum of 5 liters of alcoholic beverages with alcohol content between 24% and 70% by volume is permitted in retail packaging as checked-in baggage.

    The permissible limit of 5 lt. includes the duty paid alcohol that passenger may buy from the airport. Bills for such purchases must always be kept handy.

    On a domestic flight, alcoholic beverages are only permitted to be carried as checked-in baggage, unless they are purchased from the duty paid outlets. These duty paid alcoholic beverages can then be carried as cabin baggage.

    Alcoholic beverages carried on-board by passengers are not permitted to be opened and/or consumed inside an aircraft.

    Carrying alcoholic beverages from/into the states of Bihar, Gujarat, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland, UT Lakshadweep or any state considered as a ‘dry state’ is not permitted.

  8. Carriage policy of Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC)

    • POC’s are allowed in domestic / international (Boeing and Q-400) direct/ via / connecting flights.
    • POC’s are allowed in hand baggage & check-in baggage both.
    • Request for carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) in flight should be sent to custrelations@spicejet.com at least 48 hours prior to flight departure.
  9. Check in for Connecting Flights:

    For connection with Domestic sectors passenger will get two (2) boarding passes at the origin airport, one till transit point and the other one from transit point till final destination. Check in for the final destination will be allowed up to 60 min prior to departure time.

    In case Passengers failing to show up for boarding at the point of transit, 20 minutes prior to the departure despite having arrived on-time from the point of origin, he/she will be treated as a ‘Gate No Show'. The Baggage of such Passengers will be offloaded and handed over to the Passengers or the relevant airport authority at the transit station, without any liability on the part of SpiceJet.

    For domestic connection passenger can collect their baggage from final destination.

  10. Connecting Flights cancellation policy
    In case of delay or cancellation of a flight operated as part of the Connecting Flights the following shall apply:
    • In case of delay or cancellation of the flight at the point of origin which leads to the possibility of a missed connection at the point of transit, the Passenger shall have the right to choose a refund; or a credit-shell for future travel on SpiceJet; or re-booking onto an alternative SpiceJet flight at no additional cost, subject to availability.
    • In case of a delay or cancellation of the connecting flight at the point of Transit, SpiceJet will, at its discretion and subject to availability of seats, offer the Passenger the option to travel on the next SpiceJet flight.
    • Foreign (Non-Indian) Credit /Debit Card Acceptance:
      SpiceJet accepts payment for tickets through the use of Foreign Credit/Debit Cards. SpiceJet currently accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For all foreign (Non-Indian) credit / debit card payments, the card must be produced for physical verification at the airport check-in counter if the passenger is the cardholder. Incase the cardholder is not traveling, it is mandatory for the passenger to furnish to the airport check-in staff a physical copy of the front side of credit / debit card duly authorized by the cardholder, along with cardholder’s valid proof of identification. In the absence of such credit / debit card or copy and/or identity mismatch, we will be constrained to refuse the boarding.
    • All new taxes/charges levied by the Government of India or any statutory body subsequent to the date of booking and applicable on the date of travel shall be charged and payable separately.

Emergency Exit Row Seating Criteria

  1. Passenger who pre-books an emergency exit row seat, should be above the age of 15 years without any medical condition(s)/complications. To ensure the safety of all passengers, adults travelling with children/infants, pregnant ladies, those who require extension seat belts, travelling with a guide dog and who require safety assistance in case of emergency evacuation cannot be assigned seats on the emergency rows, including 1st row on few aircrafts. Passengers occupying these seats must understand and adhere to crew commands.
  2. SpiceJet reserves the right to refuse a Passenger an assigned Emergency Exit row Seat at the time of check-in incase the above criteria is not met.
  3. In case of exigencies, SpiceJet reserves the right to change an assigned seat without any prior notice. In such a case, the seat fee will be refunded.

Denied Boarding, Flight Cancellation, Delay, Compensation and Voluntary offload

  1. Denied Boarding

    In case of a situation arising due to unavoidable situations (e.g. clubbing of flights, change of aircraft type etc.) resulting in passenger being denied boarding against their will, the passenger(s) will be eligible for the following amount of compensation, as mentioned

    • No passenger(s) who have been denied boarding will be eligible for any compensation in case alternate flight is arranged that is scheduled to depart within one hour of the original schedule departure time of the initial reservation.

      In the event, when an alternate arrangement is not made, the passenger(s) shall be eligible for the following compensation:

      • An amount equal to 200% of booked one-way basic fare plus airline fuel charge, subject to maximum of 10,000 INR, in case SpiceJet arranges alternate flight that is scheduled to depart within 24 hours of the booked scheduled departure.
      • An amount equal to 400% of booked one-way basic fare plus airline fuel charge, subject to maximum of 20,000 INR, in case SpiceJet arranges alternate flight that is scheduled to depart more than 24 hours of the booked scheduled departure.
      • In case passenger does not opt for alternate flight, refund of full value of ticket and compensation equal to 400% of booked one-way basic fare plus airline fuel charge, subject to maximum of 20,000 INR.
    • A passenger booked on connecting flights of SpiceJet, shall be compensated for the first leg in accordance with the provisions given above, when he has been delayed at the departure station on account of denied boarding, but has arrived at the final destination at least three hours later than the scheduled arrival time.

    SpiceJet reserves the right to deny boarding to any passenger who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, for health, safety or security reasons or in the absence of adequate travel documents and no compensation as referred above shall be payable in such cases. SpiceJet also reserves the right to deny any passenger with unsuitable attire, concerns with cleanliness, intoxication or medical.

  2. Flight Cancellations

    SpiceJet will make all reasonable efforts to ensure timely operations of its scheduled flights. However, unforeseen circumstances may cause a delay or cancellation of its scheduled operations:

    • Passenger(s) who have provided correct and working mobile number or e-mail at the time of reservation and have been informed at least two weeks before the scheduled time of departure shall be entitled for an alternate flight / refund as acceptable to them. However, in case, the passengers are informed of the cancellation less than two weeks before and up to 24 hours of the scheduled time of departure, SpiceJet shall offer alternate flight allowing them to depart within two (02) hours of their initially booked scheduled time of departure.
    • Passengers who have not been informed as per the above provision(s), or missed a connecting flight booked on the same PNR number of SpiceJet flight, SpiceJet shall either provide an alternate flight as acceptable to the passenger or provide compensation in addition to the full refund of the air ticket in accordance with the compensation provided by SpiceJet, in addition to the refund of air ticket is mentioned below:

      • INR 5,000 or booked one-way basic fare plus airline fuel charge, whichever is less for flights having a block time of 01 hour or less.
      • INR 7,500 or booked one-way basic fare plus airline fuel charge, whichever is less for flights having block time of more than 01 hour and up to and including 02 hours.
      • INR 10,000 or booked one-way basic fare plus airline fuel charge, whichever is less for flights having a block time of more than 02 hours.
    • In case of the offered flight to/from an airport or terminal other than the one customer has booked, SpiceJet shall bear the cost of transfer to/from the alternate airport or terminal from/to the one for which the ticket has been booked. If the passenger has been informed of the change at least 6 hours in advance, the passenger shall be responsible for making his/her own arrangements.
  3. Flight Delays

    In case the passenger has checked in on time and the SpiceJet flight is delayed from its original scheduled departure time, SpiceJet shall provide reasonable refreshments to such checked-in passengers. Following are these scenarios:

    • Delay of 2 hours or more from scheduled/revised departure time for a flight having block time of up to two and a half hours.
    • Delay of 3 hours or more from scheduled/revised departure time for a flight having block time of more than two and a half hours and up to five (05) hours.
    • Delay of 4 hours or more from scheduled/revised departure time for flights not falling under sub-clause (a) and (b) above.

    In case, any domestic flight is expected to be delayed by more than 6 hours, passenger shall be informed 24 hours prior to the original schedule departure time or SpiceJet shall offer an option of either an alternate flight within a period of 6 hours or a full refund.

    In case, the expected time of departure is delayed in total by more than 24 hours from the original schedule time of departure or in case the delay is more than 6 hours for the flights scheduled to depart between 20:00 or 03:00 Hrs, hotel accommodation shall be provided wherever necessary. SpiceJet shall have absolute discretion in selection of hotels under the given circumstances and no reimbursement shall be made in this regard.

  4. No compensation as mentioned in para 59 and 60 shall be payable to any of the affected passenger(s) in the event:
    • adequate contact information ( i.e. mobile number or email) has not been provided by the passenger(s) at the time of effecting the reservation; and/or
    • the cancellations/delays occur due to force majeure event, the impact of which lead to cancellation of the flight and which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken by SpiceJet. For this purpose force majeure event shall mean, including, but without limitation, political instability, natural disaster, civil war, insurrection or riot, flood, explosion, government regulations or order affecting the aircraft, strikes and labour disputes causing cessation slowdown or interruption or work, meteorological conditions, mechanical failures, commotion, embargoes, cancellation/delays clearly attributable to Air Traffic Control, security /safety risks or any other factor that is beyond the control of SpiceJet.

    The compensation mentioned above under respective categories is not cumulative and cannot be clubbed together.

  5. Self or Voluntary offload

    Self or Voluntary offloading after boarding the flight by the passenger is strictly not permitted, except in an unforeseen event of medical emergency or similar cases, such as death of relatives for which the passenger will have to provide evidence, to the satisfaction of SpiceJet. Self or Voluntary offloading causes unwarranted inconvenience to other travelling passengers, delay in operation of flight and also the airline incurring additional costs for such delays. In case the passenger offloads himself/herself for any cause other than as mentioned above, SpiceJet will cancel the entire ticket for each such passenger for the subject travel and also any further transportation (whether under single or multiple PNR) with no refunds. Each such passenger who is off-loaded shall be liable to a off-loading fee of Rs.10,000 per passenger which will be levied and to be paid immediately upon off-loading. Additionally, SpiceJet reserves the right to recover from each such passenger any and all costs (whether direct or consequential) incurred due to disrupted operations including but not limiting to removal of baggage, flight delays, disruptions and misconnections and inconvenience to other passengers.

  6. Unacceptable behaviour

    If in our reasonable opinion passenger conduct is observed as to endanger the aircraft or any person or property on board, or obstruct the crew in the performance of their duties, or fail to comply with any instructions of the crew, including but not limited to those with respect to smoking, consumption of alcohol/drug at any place in the aircraft or display behaviour creating inconvenience to the other passengers (including under influence of alcohol), SpiceJet will have full right to take all steps/measures to prevent any such act, including restraint. Each such passenger shall also be liable to pay penalty of Rs.10,000 per passenger which will be levied and to be paid immediately. Additionally you may be refused onward carriage at any point and may be prosecuted for offences committed on board the aircraft. Further SpiceJet reserves the right to offload you from the flight and recover from each such passenger any and all cost (whether direct or consequential ) incurred as a result of your behaviour, including but not limited to air traffic control charges, diversion fuel costs, airport landing charges and necessary flight crew costs, cost incurred due to disrupted operations/flight delays and misconnections and inconvenience to other passengers.

  7. Voluntary Flight Change Request
    1. The Voluntary Flight Change Request ("VFCR") provides an opportunity to the passengers of SpiceJet Limited ("SpiceJet") to change their confirmed flight booking to a reservation on an alternative flight as per the options provided by SpiceJet ("Change"), against receipt of SpiceJet vouchers ("Vouchers").
    2. Invitation

      The invitation to change your flight ("Invitation") may be communicated to you by –

      1. Sending an email on the email address registered with us at the time of booking of original flight ("Primary Email Id"); or
      2. sending electronic messages to the primary mobile number registered with us at the time of booking of original flight ("Primary Number"); or
      3. a telephonic call on the Primary Number; or
      4. any other way that SpiceJet may deem fit.

      By submitting your Change request within the time period specified in the message sent to your Primary Number or email sent to your Primary Email Id, you stand a chance to get a Voucher worth the amount as mentioned in the Invitation, if the request is accepted and the Change is confirmed by SpiceJet.

    3. Submission of Change request

      Submission of Change request or opting for an alternative flight, is voluntary. The customers need to send a coherent response to the Invitation in the following manner:

      1. In the event the Invitation is received by you through a message on your Primary Number, you are required to click on the link provided in the message and you are then redirected to the SpiceJet webpage wherein you are required to select an alternate flight option and submit your response;
      2. In the event the Invitation is received by you through an email to your Primary Email Id, you are required to click on the link provided in the email and you are then redirected to the SpiceJet webpage wherein you are required to select an alternate flight option and submit your response;
      3. In the event the Invitation is made to you either by SpiceJet call centre representatives or airport representatives, you are required to submit your Change request in such form and manner as required by SpiceJet.

      Submission of Change request in response to an Invitation, will be considered as a valid "Offer". The Offer will be assumed to have been made by the individuals above the age of eighteen (18) years and shall be binding and deemed accepted and applicable on all the passenger(s) named in the PNR, if the same is accepted by SpiceJet.

      In case there are multiple passengers travelling under single PNR, only the primary contact person whose mobile number is registered as the Primary Number for the PNR or whose email address is registered as the Primary Email Id for the PNR ("Primary Passenger"), can request for Change for himself and on behalf of all the other passengers in such PNR. In such an event of an Offer being submitted by the Primary Passenger on behalf of all the passengers in the same PNR, pursuant to the Invitation, the Primary Passenger shall be deemed to have been authorized for the said act and such act shall be deemed to have been done by the Primary Passenger with authority, consent and on behalf of all other passengers travelling under such PNR and same shall constitute a binding Offer on behalf of all such passengers.

    4. Acceptance of Offer

      SpiceJet may confirm the acceptance of your Offer at any time prior to the departure of the flight on which you have a confirmed reservation, which may be communicated to you either to your:

      1. Primary Number;
      2. Primary Email Id; or
      3. any other way that SpiceJet may deem fit.

      The additional terms and conditions governing the Vouchers issued by SpiceJet will also be provided in the communication sent to you along with the Voucher details, and all the passengers of the relevant PNR, including you, shall be bound by such additional terms and conditions.

      In case there are multiple passengers travelling under single PNR, a separate Voucher will be issued in the name of each passenger and all the Vouchers will be shared by SpiceJet with the Primary Passenger only. Please note that the Voucher can only be redeemed by the passenger whose name is mentioned on the Voucher.

    5. No change fees will be payable by for the Change. Neither you, nor SpiceJet, will be liable to pay any differential airfare to the other.
    6. In case, a round trip or a multicity booking is made under the same PNR, the Change (if the Offer is accepted and confirmed by SpiceJet) will only apply and switch the relevant flight(s) for which the Invitation has been extended. Any other sector or flights booked under the same PNR shall remain unchanged. Similarly, the fare type (e.g. Spice Max) and the SpiceJet services purchased with the original flight, will also apply to the changed flight, subject to availability.
    7. SpiceJet reserves a right to: (a) withdraw or alter the Invitation; or (b) revamp the alternative flight options; or (c) alter the Voucher amounts; or (d) modify the terms of acceptance of the Offer, at any time before the revised itinerary is issued to you, without assigning any reason or without any prior intimation.
    8. In case there are multiple passengers travelling under single PNR, the Change (if the Offer is accepted and confirmed by SpiceJet) will affect all the passengers in such PNR, unless otherwise requested by SpiceJet and consented to by the relevant passenger(s).
    9. SpiceJet will not be liable for any loss related to, or arising out of, non-receipt of any communication or Vouchers, or any misuse of Vouchers, if incorrect phone number or email address is registered with SpiceJet for the PNR.
    10. Notwithstanding anything stated anywhere, SpiceJet's overall liability for any claims related to the selection of alternative flight or Vouchers, will not exceed the total value of Vouchers.
    11. The VFCR and Invitation is being made on best effort basis and is subject to force majeure conditions.
    12. By accepting the Voucher, you assent to waive all your claims and rights against SpiceJet with respect to your original flight booking under the PNR, including but not limited to, any claims for loss, damage, cost or liability related to flight delay, cancellation, denied boarding or any other cost or charges.
    13. Any flight change of passenger by SpiceJet, including in case of denied boarding, shall at all times be governed by SpiceJet's terms of carriage available at www.spicejet.com, as same is a binding contract between the passenger(s) and SpiceJet.
    14. By conceding to terms and conditions of VFCR, you –
      1. unconditionally and irrevocably agree to accept these terms and conditions and SpiceJet's terms of carriage; and
      2. consent that all information provided by you may be shared by SpiceJet with its agents, representatives, service providers, employees and used for sending of promotional information affined to SpiceJet, in future.
    15. These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India, and all matters related to the Vouchers are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
  8. SpiceJet Voucher issued in relation to Voluntary Flight Change Request
    1. SpiceJet Voucher ("Voucher") will be issued to the primary passenger (i.e. whose mobile number is registered with us or whose email address is registered with us) specified in the PNR  
    2. The Passengers cannot transfer, exchange or encash the Voucher.
    3. Each Voucher will be valid for a period of 1 year from the date of issuance. Request for extension or revalidation of the Voucher, shall not be entertained by SpiceJet under any circumstances.
    4. Customers can redeem their Voucher by entering the Voucher code at the time of booking –
      1. on the SpiceJet website.
      2. on SpiceJet mobile application.
      3. by calling SpiceJet customer care centre.
    5. The Voucher can be redeemed against the base fare of SpiceJet flights and any other products and services offered by SpiceJet, other than any kind of airport charges, pass through charges or any other statutory charges and taxes.
    6. The Voucher cannot be redeemed against group bookings or bookings made in other currency except INR.
    7. The Voucher can be used only once and cannot be clubbed with any other SpiceJet offer or promotion.
    8. The Voucher will be deemed as utilized fully in case of partial redemption and the balance amount of the Voucher will stand forfeited.
    9. SpiceJet will not be responsible for loss, theft or unauthorized use of the Voucher and no replacement Voucher shall be provided in any circumstances. SpiceJet reserves right to deny accepting a Voucher if it suspects any fraud or misuse by the customer.
