GURUGRAM, September 20, 2018: : SpiceJet, the country’s favourite
carrier, today announced the launch of three new direct flights from Guwahati
connecting Pakyong, Patna and Hyderabad. SpiceJet is the first and only carrier to
offer daily direct connectivity on the Guwahati-Pakyong-Guwahati route starting 16
October and Guwahati-Patna-Guwahati route starting 10 October. SpiceJet has also
introduced daily non-stop flight services on the Guwahati-Hyderabad-Guwahati sector
effective from 10 October.
The announcement of the new flights was made in the august presence of Shri Sarbananda
Sonowal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam. On the occasion, Debojo Maharshi, Chief
Marketing Officer, SpiceJet, handed over the first ticket to Shri Sarbananda Sonowal,
thereby marking the formal announcement of the launch of the new flight service.

To celebrate the launch, SpiceJet has also announced an introductory promotional fare of
INR 2060 (all inclusive) for Guwahati-Pakyong, INR 2060 (all inclusive) for
Pakyong-Guwahati, INR 3399 (all inclusive) for Guwahati-Patna, INR 3099 (all inclusive)
for Patna-Guwahati, INR 4599 (all inclusive) for Guwahati-Hyderabad and INR 4799 (all
inclusive) for Hyderabad-Guwahati.
Assam is one of the key markets of SpiceJet and with the three new direct flights the
airline will operate 34 daily flights in and out of North East and 6 direct flights
within the region. Within Assam, SpiceJet operates on Guwahati-Dibrugarh and
Guwahati-Silchar routes currently. The airline has recently upgraded from its
Bombardier Q400 aircraft to its Boeing aircraft on the Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati sector
to cater to the massive demand. With this upgradation, passengers from Delhi can now
travel to Silchar without changing the aircraft at Guwahati. SpiceJet also operates
non-stop flights from Guwahati connecting Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Jaipur and
multiple via flights to a host of domestic as well as international destinations. The
three new direct flights will give the much needed boost to trade within the states and
will greatly aid both leisure and business travelers.
SpiceJet will be deploying its Boeing aircraft on the Hyderabad and Patna routes. SG 463
operating on the Hyderabad-Guwahati will depart at 05.45 am, whereas SG 464 operating
on the route of Guwahati-Hyderabad route will depart at 12.30 pm. Operating on the
Guwahati-Patna route, SG 461 will depart at 08.45 am, whereas SG 462 operating between
the Patna-Guwahati sectors will depart at 10.45 am. For Pakyong, SpiceJet will be
operating its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft.
