Gurgaon, 21 October, 2016: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite low-cost
carrier outpaced all its peers as industry figures released by DGCA for the month of
September 2016 pegged the airline at the top for critical operational parameters of OTP
(On-time performance) and PLF (Passenger load factor).
The airline has registered a PLF of 93.5%, clocking over 90% PLF for 17 months in a row.
Among airlines with sizeable industry operations across all metros, SpiceJet has also
topped the OTP chart for the month at 88.8%. The airline has also topped OTP for
individual metros of Mumbai and Hyderabad at 79.1% and 90.1% respectively.
Diligent planning, efficient utilization of the resources and a strong determination
across all the crew and support departments have lead the airline to significantly
better its performance in September.
SpiceJet operated on an average 316 daily flights and carried almost 10.30 lakh
passengers during the month.
