The place hosts the largest gathering of pilgrims in the world during the Maha Kumbh which takes place every 12 years. Tourists throng this holy city all year round as it is an excellent host to religious events and boasts a celebrated history.

    This festival is held once every twelve years where Allahabad opens its doors to the largest congregation of pilgrims in the world. Pilgrims make their way from all over to take a sacred bath in the holy waters of Sangam.
