SpiceJet flags off daily direct flight on Delhi-Kishangarh route
  • First and only Indian carrier to provide air connectivity to Ajmer and Pushkar
  • Kishangarh is SpiceJet's 8th destination under UDAN

GURUGRAM, October 8, 2018 : SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, today launched daily direct services on the Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi route, thus providing the much needed connectivity to Ajmer and Pushkar.

The marble city of Kishangarh marks SpiceJet’s eighth destination nationally and the second sector in Rajasthan after Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur to be connected under UDAN. The airline was awarded the route under UDAN II.

SpiceJet is the first and only airline to offer daily direct air connectivity between Kishangarh and Delhi. A traditional lamp lighting ceremony was organized marking the inauguration of the operations and the first passenger was welcomed by SpiceJet officials and gifted with mementoes. In line with the aviation tradition to mark key milestones, the flight which was flagged off from Delhi, was greeted with a grand water cannon salute upon its arrival at the Kishangarh airport.

With the launch of the new flight services, passengers from Kishangarh can now conveniently travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from Delhi.

Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India. The city is home to the famous Jagatpita Brahma Temple considered to be one of the five sacred pilgrimage destinations for Hindus.

The famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah of Sufi Saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti located at Ajmer attracts millions of people every year from India and abroad. The new daily flight will provide pilgrims and tourists a much better access to Ajmer and Pushkar.

In addition to Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi flight, SpiceJet also operates flights under UDAN on the routes of --- Mumbai-Porbandar, Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Puducherry-Hyderabad, Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur, Delhi-Adampur-Delhi, Chennai-Hubli-Chennai, Hyderabad-Hubli-Hyderabad, Delhi-Kanpur-Delhi and Kolkata – Pakyong - Kolkata.

SpiceJet will be deploying its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the route.
