Gurgaon, 27 July, 2016: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite low-cost
carrier, continues to lead the Passenger Load Factor (PLF) charts among all Indian
carriers by clocking over 90% PLF for 14 successive months. The figure for the month of
June 2016 stood at 93%, an industry best figure, as per the statistics released by
DGCA. The airline also registered a flight cancellations rate of 0.20% during the same
period which is the lowest figure among all the Indian carriers.
SpiceJet had also bettered its on-time performance (OTP) during June’16 over the
previous month which now stood at 80.7%. OTP has been computed for its operations
across the four metro airports of Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. SpiceJet
operated 298 daily flights and carried 10.10 lakh passengers during the month thereby
marginally improving upon its market share of 12.7% over the previous month.
