With effect from October 31, 2021, all SpiceJet domestic flights to/from Delhi with 4 digits flight numbers starting with “8” will depart from/arrive at Terminal 3. Other domestic flights to/from Delhi will operate from Terminal 1. International flights to/from Delhi will continue to operate from Terminal 3. Please check terminal details of your flight before leaving for the airport.

Q1: Why is SpiceJet moving to Terminal 1 (T1) at IGI Airport, New Delhi

Ans: After remaining shut for over one-and-a-half years, Terminal 1 (T1) is getting re-opened for operations effective October 31, 2021. Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL), in consultation with SpiceJet has announced to shift a few of its domestic flights’ operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 of IGI Airport, New Delhi. This decision has been taken by DIAL to enhance the overall infrastructure and on the basis of the undergoing expansion plans. SpiceJet will now operate from both Terminal 1 (T1) as well as Terminal 3 (T3)

Q2: Which flights of SpiceJet will operate from Terminal 1 and 3?

Ans:  With effect from October 31, 2021, all SpiceJet domestic flights to/from Delhi with 4-digit flight numbers starting with “8” will depart from/arrive at Terminal 3 (T3). Other domestic flights to/from Delhi will operate from Terminal 1 (T1). International flights to/from Delhi will continue to operate from Terminal 3 (T3)

Q3: Is there any identification of these flights?

Ans: All domestic flights operating from Terminal 3 (T3) will have four (4) digit flight numbers starting with the numeric ‘8’ (Eight). The flight numbers will be between SG 8000 to SG 8999. International flights to/from Delhi will continue to operate from Terminal 3 (T3).

Q4: Has SpiceJet shared this information of partial movement of operations to Terminal 1 (T1) with its customers?

Ans: Yes, SpiceJet has sent e-mailers, SMS notifications and social media promotion well in advance, informing passengers of this move.
