SpiceJet launches 20 new domestic flights
  • Introduces new UDAN flights on Amritsar-Patna & Varanasi-Patna routes
  • Connects Guwahati with Patna, Hyderabad with Mangaluru, Bengaluru with Jabalpur and Mumbai with Aurangabad for the first time on its network
  • Announces a host of additional flights and frequencies
  • New flights effective 29th March, 2020

GURUGRAM, February 19, 2020: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, today announced the launch of 20 new flights scheduled to commence operations from 29th March, 2020.

In line with SpiceJet’s commitment to enhance regional connectivity, the airline will be the first and only carrier in the country to launch non-stop flight services on the UDAN routes of Varanasi-Patna and Amritsar-Patna. With the commencement of these new flights, the airline will now operate a total of 52 flights connecting 12 cities under the regional connectivity scheme. This is the highest number of flights being operated by any Indian airline under RCS.

Reiterating the airline’s commitment towards enhancing connectivity between key metros and smaller cities, SpiceJet has introduced a host of new flights on the Guwahati-Patna, Hyderabad-Mangaluru, Bengaluru-Jabalpur, Patna-Varanasi and Mumbai-Aurangabad sectors.

The airline will also enhance its operations with additional frequencies on the routes of Mumbai-Bagdogra (2nd frequency), Mumbai-Chennai (5th frequency), Hyderabad-Mangaluru (2nd frequency) and Guwahati-Delhi (2nd frequency) sectors.

As we add newer cities and flights to our network and provide affordable air travel options to more and more people, our focus remains firmly on connecting the unconnected parts of the country besides enhancing connectivity between metros and non-metros.”

Passengers travelling from Guwahati, Patna, Mangaluru, Jabalpur, Varanasi, Patna, Amritsar and Aurangabad among others will be able to easily travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from key metros.

All the new flights introduced will be operational daily and the airline will deploy a mix of its Boeing 737-800 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft on all these routes.

SpiceJet is celebrating the launch by announcing introductory all-inclusive promotional fares of INR 2211 on Guwahati-Patna, INR 1687 on Patna-Guwahati, INR 2257 on Hyderabad-Mangaluru, INR 1517 on Mangaluru-Hyderabad, INR 2147 on Bengaluru-Jabalpur, INR 2474 on Jabalpur-Bengaluru, INR 2711 on Varanasi-Patna, INR 2665 on Patna-Varanasi, INR 4780 on Amritsar-Patna, INR 4736 on Patna-Amritsar, INR 2567 on Mumbai-Aurangabad and INR 2034 on Aurangabad-Mumbai routes.
