  • First and only airline to connect Durgapur with Mumbai
  • Flights are effective 25th June, 2019

GURUGRAM, April 26, 2019:SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, today announced the launch of two new daily flights connecting the underserved market of Durgapur with Mumbai. Durgapur earmarks SpiceJet’s 13th destination under the regional connectivity scheme. Flights are effective 25th June, 2019.

The Durgapur-Mumbai-Durgapur route was awarded to SpiceJet under UDAN III and is exclusive to the airline, thereby making it the only carrier to offer flight services on the sector. SpiceJet will be deploying its Boeing 737 on the route.

The new flights reiterate the airline’s commitment to augmenting connectivity between metro and non-metro cities. SpiceJet will also be launching its Chennai-Durgapur-Chennai UDAN flight in the current summer schedule.

Debashis Saha, Associate Vice President – Regulatory & Government Affairs, SpiceJet, said, “SpiceJet is pleased to announce the launch of our new flights which reiterates our commitment to providing air connectivity to the smaller towns and cities of India and our steadfast support to the government’s regional connectivity scheme.”
