A) What is a credit shell?

Ans. Credit Shell is a form of credit note which can be used to make a new booking as well as to book ancillary products with SpiceJet for the same passenger (s) for future travel.

B) Till when can I use this credit shell?
Ans. For bookings cancelled due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions and lockdown in the period of March 25 till May 24, 2021, credit shell can be used to make another booking and/or to purchase add-on services for the same passengers for the travel till September 30, 2023.

C) How can I check my credit shell balance?
Ans. You can easily check your credit shell balance on your Itinerary by following these 3 steps: Visit www.spicejet.com → Go to ‘Manage booking’ → Enter PNR and Email/Last Name

D) How can I use this credit shell?
Ans. Credit shell can be used to make another booking from our website www.spicejet.com At the end of the booking process, you can make the payment using the “CREDIT SHELL” option. For booking made through travel agents or online travel portals, customer are requested to contact the source of booking.

For a swift airport experience and to save time from possible long queues at the airport check-in counters, it is recommended to web check-in for your SpiceJet flight.

Web check-in for domestic flights is available from the booking time until 60 minutes prior to departure. For international flights departing from India, web check-in is available between 48 hours and 75 minutes prior to departure. For a smooth immigration process, it is mandatory to report to the airport check-in counter for documentation check for all international flights.

For assistance with check-in or re-issuance of boarding pass through Reservations for domestic and international flights departing from India, a facilitation fee of Rs.200 per passenger and Rs.300 per passenger will be charged, respectively. Bookings made under the fares of armed forces, senior citizens, unaccompanied minors and for passengers with medical conditions/stretchers are exempted from this fee.

Check-in for international flights departing from other countries can be done through SpiceJet check-in counters at respective airports.

Airport check-in counters open three hours prior to departure and close 60 minutes prior to departure for all flights. Passengers are encouraged to report at least two hours prior to departure.

Passengers who fail to report on time will be treated as “no-show”, resulting in their booking being cancelled and the fare retained.

If you were diagnosed with Covid-19 and have recovered after getting treatment for it, you will only be permitted to travel provided you carry a Covid-19 recovered or discharged certificate from any institution dealing with Covid-19 or a Covid-19 negative certificate which has been recently issued by an ICMR approved testing centre.

Such a situation should be brought to the immediate notice of our cabin crew on board. Our cabin crew will assist in handling the situation.
